Shatnez: Curtains

Question

Re shatnez Is it kosher to have curtains made with the front layer of hemp fabric, then the 1st lining layer behind it of wool, then next lining layer of cotton. ( I’m trying to make blackout and very insulating curtains of natural materials instead of plastic). Then on a separate rail behind all that, would be a sheer linen curtain for privacy during the day. So my concern is having wool and linen near each other …but they would not be sewn together, nor touching each other, as there is cotton fabric between them and they are on separate rails, though close together.

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

I understand that you are concerned is about the linen curtain that is on one rail and the woolen one that is Infront of it on another rail with a cotton curtain behind it. (I understand that the hemp fabric is not from made of linen)

There is no concern of shattnez in this case
