Peyot missing

I see frum sefardim, who have shaved their heads (and removed the peyot). How is this hallachic?

Thank you for writing.
As you know, it is indeed forbidden to shave the hairs in the "peyot" area of the head. These hairs must remain at least 5 mm and those who are lenient to shave till 1 mm, we do not reprimand them
