Non-Israeli Dancing on Simchas Torah

Question

I live abroad and study in Israel. I observe the second day of Yom Tov, so for me, Shemini Atzeret is a regular holiday, and only the next day is Simchas Torah. On the other hand, I want to participate in the hakafot of the Israelis' Simchat Torah. Is this permissible, given that dancing and clapping are only allowed on Simchas Torah, and for me, it is not Simchas Torah?

Answer

This is permitted.
