Drawing father’s blood
Question
My father and teacher is currently under home hospitalization and needs to have open-artery infusions. He asked one of his sons to do it. However, sometimes when they stick in the needle, some blood comes out; however, this doesn't happen every time. Is it permissible for the son to do this or is this considered wounding his father and he needs to hire a nurse to do it?
Answer
Since the bleeding is not inevitable, if there is no one else who can do it for free, it is permitted. There is no need to hire a nurse.
