Joining the quorum for saying kaddish
Question
When we started the psalm ashrei in the beginning of the minchah prayer, we only had five people. Then we were joined by five more. The question is, can we now say kaddish, or do we have to go back and recite ashrei again?
Answer
According to the letter of the law, you can go straight to saying kaddish. But it’s better first to say a psalm or some verses in the presence of ten people.
