Apple or challah in honey

Question

What is one supposed to dip in honey on Rosh Hashana, an apple or a challah?

Answer

The accepted Jewish custom is to eat an apple dipped in honey on Rosh Hashana. There are communities where the custom is to dip the challah in honey as well.
