How to I connect to my Jewish community and self

Question

I was raised by a Jewish father and a Jewish born mother who was adopted out and forbidden from her faith. I want to practise, and connect with God, and worship him as we all are intended, but I have no idea if I even have the right or where to start.

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

I encourage you to set up a meeting with your local orthodox rabbi and ask him for his assistance. He will be happy to help you.

So too, you should begin studying about Judaism. You can find all kinds of Torah books in English at Artscroll.com. You should also check out websites like Aish.com where there is a wealth of Torah information.

We wish you much success in your journey.
