Online Shopping During the Intermediate Days of a Festival
Question
Is it permissible to order things on the internet during the Chol Ha-Moed (intermediate days of a festival)? This brings me joy as I feel that I am prepared for winter.
Answer
Shalom and joyous festivals!
It is forbidden to buy things during the Chol Ha-Moed (intermediate days of a festival) that are not for the purpose of the festival.
The joy that is not related to the joy of the festival does not make it permitted.
