Kashrut of a Pergola

Question

Greetings and blessings. I have a pergola with a shade made of slats that sit in tracks, not connected, and can be pulled out at any time. The question regarding Sukkot is, do I need to lift all of them or is part of them enough? And how much needs to be lifted? Be blessed and thank you very much.

Answer

Shalom!
One should lift the Sechach (the covering of the Sukkah) a handbreadth by a handbreadth in one place [10 cm by 10 cm], or lift any width of the Sechach along its entire length or its entire width.
