Traveling on a Train Built on Shabbat

Question

In recent days, the light rail in the Gush Dan region has been inaugurated. As is known, some of the construction work on the trainline was done on the Holy Shabbos, G-d forbid. Is it permitted to travel on the train today?

Answer

Shalom!
There is no issue of using something that was made through Shabbat violation since the land does not belong to the builders of the train, and a person cannot prohibit something that is not his.
However, our teacher Rabbi Amram Fried, SHLITA instructed that there is an obligation to protest against the desecration of the sanctity of Shabbat that occurred during the construction of the train. Therefore, one should not travel on the train in the first month after its inauguration, so that it will be clear that we are not interested in benefiting from the progress in the work that was gained by desecrating Shabbat.
