The Timing for Reciting 'The Lord is my Light'

Question

It is written that one should recite Psalm 27 from the beginning of Elul until Simchat Torah, twice a day. When? Evening and morning? Or during Shacharit and Mincha? Thank you very much.

Answer

Shalom!
There are two customs regarding this. According to the Ashkenazi tradition, it is recited during Shacharit and Maariv. According to the “Sphard” tradition (which includes Chasidim and Spharadim), it is recited during Shacharit and Mincha.
Each community should follow its own custom.
