Severe Headache on Tisha B'Av

Question

I have a question. I have a severe headache (on Tisha B'Av), what should I do?

Answer

It is permitted to take a painkiller.
If it can be taken without water, it should be taken without water.
If it is not possible, it is permitted to take it with a little water. It is good to make the water bitter with a little tea extract or salt, etc.
If the pain is so severe that it weakens the entire body, you’re considered a sick person and are exempt from the fast.
