Completion of the Book 'Nefesh HaChaim' During the Nine Days

Question

We are a group of young men studying mussar in a group. We’re learning 'Nefesh HaChaim'. Every time we finished a section, we celebrated with a meat meal. Is it permitted to do so during the Nine Days?

Answer

Shalom!
How good is your portion!
This siyum (completion) does not permit the consumption of meat during the Nine Days, but it is advisable to postpone the completion until after Tisha B'Av, so that you’ll be able rejoice in the joy of the Torah as is fitting.
