Purchasing Clothes Abroad During the Nine Days

Question

Greetings and blessings, I wanted to ask if I am abroad and I want to buy new clothes because I am returning before Tisha B'Av, is this considered preventing a financial loss, and am I allowed to buy? I will not wear them now. Thank you very much.

Answer

Greetings and a good month!
If we are talking about clothes that cannot be obtained in your country, or at a particularly discounted price, it is considered preventing a financial loss and is permitted.
However, if there is no significant profit or savings in buying there, it is forbidden.
