Hotplate Turns Off and On During Shabbos

Question

Shalom Rabbi, is it permitted to set the 'Shabbos time switch' for the hot plate so that it turns off at night and back on in the morning, when the cholent was placed on the hot plate before Shabbos? Thank you very much.

It is permissible to do so.
