Ma'aser – Assisting a Person in Preserving Holiness

Shalom, I’m learning with a young man who is growing in his observance, and I convinced him to install a filter on his smartphone. I’m covering the cost of the filter myself. May I deduct what I paid from my ma'aser money? Thank you.

It is permitted to pay from ma'aser money,
as it is commonly accepted today to use ma'aser money for any mitzvah-related purpose.
